Great article on Sacramento Bee. Bay Area buyers are flocking to Sacramento market.

Good Sacramento Bee article about Bay Area buyers moving this way. Here are the take away numbers: Median price of a resale home in Bay Area: $850K ($100K increase over last year) vs $357K in Sac (New home:$433K) vs $1.3 million in SF. %46 of Bay Area residents want to move out of the region. %4.7:Projected increase in price of new homes this year vs %8.2 for resale. My observation (partly supported by the article) they are not purchasing EQUALLY EVERYWHERE and in all price points. They have $ and like the newer developments in Natomas and El Dorado County better than say West Sacramento or even new development in McKinley Village. Both these markets sell well to those with an appetite for proximity to Downtown due to work, culture, etc. Know someone who is thinking of buying or selling a house? Share my number with them.
