Market Update September 2017

Are home  prices still increasing? Yes they are. And with a good rate too. Table below shows the % change in Sold Home Prices compared to the same month in 2016 for certain areas in greater Sacramento area. Another observation I have made in this market, is that despite tight inventory (around only 1.5 months in all counties thus making it very much a sellers market) buyers are not willing to pay for overpriced listings. Also, with the short inventory one would also expect buyers to be willing to purchase a property which might need a little TLC (paint, carpet, etc) and be willing to do the work themselves. Nope. THEY ARE PICKY and have no problem walking away from the "TLC Needing" house and waiting for the "Move In Ready" one.
